As curators of culture and shapers of narrative, we’ve seen a critical gap in our editorial lens. While we consistently guide our audience on where to gather, which galleries warrant attention, and which performances demand presence, we have not applied the same critical framework to the question of dress. In response, we are introducing a dossier that encompasses the latest news in the global and local fashion space.
With the arrival of a new year comes a wave of product launches and collection debuts , moments that signal seasonal change and shifts in aesthetic and cultural direction. Adidas Originals has announced the next chapter of its iconic Superstar, fronted by Samuel L. Jackson, who leads a cinematic search for his “Superstars” in a surreal Hotel Superstar. The campaign brings together a cross-generational cast — including JENNIE, Kendall Jenner, Lamine Yamal, Baby Keem, Olivia Dean, James Harden and Tyshawn Jones — each embodying the timeless cultural influence of the Superstar silhouette. Directed by Thibaut Grevet, the film positions the sneaker as an enduring symbol of authenticity across music, fashion and sport. For Spring/Summer 2026, the collection refreshes the classic black-and-white palette with bold red accents, reworking heritage tracksuits, denim and tailored womenswear pieces to reflect a modern, street-driven evolution of The Original Icon.
New Balance has unveiled a new campaign starring Global Ambassador and Grammy-winning artist Rosalía, celebrating the latest 204L sneaker. Photographed by Renell Medrano, the campaign highlights Rosalía’s continued influence on the silhouette since joining the brand in 2025, introducing a refined update featuring scalloped detailing, ribbon laces, and a Sea Salt and Linen colourway. Blending heritage with modern expression, the reimagined 204L launches on 1 March 2026 at New Balance Experience Stores, online, and via Superbalist, retailing at R2299.

A$AP Rocky and Ray-Ban have announced the new Metal Collection, marking Rocky’s first year as the brand’s inaugural Creative Director and introducing his debut metal and optical designs. Blending heritage silhouettes with a bold, contemporary edge, the collection reinterprets classic wire and rimless frames through oval and rectangular shapes in timeless metal finishes, alongside a futuristic wraparound exclusive. Launched via a cinematic NYC diner campaign co-starring Nas, the release bridges ’90s nostalgia with modern cultural influence, positioning Ray-Ban at the forefront of music, fashion and creative evolution while inviting a new generation to honour the past and redefine the future.
H&M’s A/W26 collection channels the glamour of the ’70s through the rebellious lens of ’90s Britain, blending Britpop attitude, London subculture, and high-fashion nostalgia into an eclectic yet refined offering. Delivered in two drops, the first chapter celebrates boundary-pushing creativity with heritage twists, decadent romance, sporty separates, and versatile colour stories. Fronted by Mona Tougaard, Vittoria Ceretti, Alex Consani, Sora Choi and Angelina Kendall, the collection launches in South Africa on 19 March in stores and online, alongside the H&M A/W Sound Lounge music event at Sandton City on 21 March.
